Teens Talk Internet Safety on Latest "Plugged In."

Cox Communications Hampton Roads is set to premiere the latest installment of “Plugged In,” a televised teen forum, with a look at internet safety and what young people understand about online dangers.  “Plugged In – Teens Online” will air for the first time on June 11, 2008 at 4 p.m. on Cox 11. It also will be available July 1 via Cox’s On Demand service.

Launched earlier this year, “Plugged In” is a series of special presentations produced at the Studios of Cox 11, the local cable channel operated by Cox and seen exclusively on the Cox system in Hampton Roads.  The show features a studio audience of local teens and is designed to inform and educate young people and their parents, on many issues facing young people today.

“From cyber-bullying to predators to the long-term effects of images and messages posted on the web, we'll examine what youth and their parents know as well as what they need to know about the world online,” says  program host Gary McCollum, Senior Vice President and General Manager of Cox Hampton Roads.
