BET HD Now Available on Cox
Cox HD channels continue to grow and remain free to subscribers

Chesapeake, VA – Cox Communications of Hampton Roads continues to expand its list of free high definition channels with the addition of BET HD on channel 736. Starting April 30, BET HD will be available in most areas in greater Hampton Roads such as Southside, Gloucester, Poquoson, Williamsburg and Newport News. BET provides contemporary entertainment that speaks to young Black adults from an authentic, unapologetic viewpoint of the Black experience.

“We are pleased to add BET HD to our growing list of HD channels. Best of all, we do not charge extra for the HD channels so Cox customers can watch them for free,” said Gary McCollum, Senior Vice President and General Manager, Cox Hampton Roads.

With the addition of BET HD, Cox now offers 56 HD channels which remain free for Cox customers who have expanded HD tier, an HD television, HD service from Cox and an HD receiver or a CableCARD.

Cox continues to make more HD channels available through the Hampton Roads region. Additional channels are planned for Hampton in May, and for James City County and York County later this year.
