Three Cox 11 Original Programs Honored by the 31st Telly Awards

CHESAPEAKE , VA – Cox Communications is pleased to announce that Cox 11, the company’s local television channel serving the Hampton Roads region, has been awarded three Bronze Telly awards in the 31^st Telly Awards competition.  The awards recognized Cox shows that focused on the local community, including:

--- “Homecoming:  A Video Diary” – This heartwarming special spotlighted the commitments of local service members and their families by capturing the anticipation of their return from deployment.

--- “Looking Back” – The documentary captured activities surrounding the commemoration of the 50^th anniversary of the end of Massive Resistance in Hampton Roads, including interviews with members of the Norfolk 17 and the Lost Class of 1959.

--- “The Hampton Roads Black List” – This show featured a series of first-person profiles of influential African-Americans in Hampton Roads.

“Cox 11’s goal is to deliver unique and compelling programming for Cox customers,” said Dan Cawley, Cox 11 Station Manager. “This year’s award-winning programs demonstrate our efforts to not only provide great entertainment value, but also to inform and educate.”
